Earlier this month, two of DCAC?s directors, Amber Stead, Director of Finance and Operations, and Jodi Byrnes, Director of the Forensic Interview Program, attended the National Children?s Alliance 2016 Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. The annual conference, attended by over 500 Child Advocacy Center leaders this year, aims to provide continuing education, networking opportunities, and exposure to innovative programs and ideas. On ?Hill Day?, Amber and Jodi met with legislative aides for Representative Diana Degette and Senator Michael Bennett to advocate for the federal initiatives that impact critical funding for DCAC and advocacy centers around the country. Amber and Jodi had a great time and brought back a lot of useful and exciting information to DCAC!
