Corporate Partners Bring Energy & Impact to DCAC’s Work

Wow! We are blown away by the recent level of engagement from Denver Children’s Advocacy Center’s (DCAC) corporate partners this summer. This July, we’re sharing an update to highlight the creative ways that businesses are getting involved with the hopes of inspiring you to get your team or company engaged in our work. Read on for an overview of how our corporate partners are making an impact at DCAC.

Bring a Group to Volunteer at DCAC

Two companies have shared their time and expertise as volunteers in a fun team-oriented setting by beautifying our Denver campus. Several groups from SM Energy have come out to do a deep clean of waiting areas, family rooms and therapy rooms, and organize toys. They also did some spring cleaning of our campus outdoor space and play areas, touched up paint, and planted flowers.

Likewise, team members from Digible spent a day dedicated to making our space as welcoming to children and families as possible by brushing up our outdoor play area, painting, and planting. See a video of their work in action here.

The good news is that there is always more work to do at DCAC! If your company wants to visit us for a group volunteer day, the first step is to reach out to mdavis@denvercac.org

Host a Golf Tournament

Another great way for your company to support DCAC is by hosting an annual golf tournament. This September, we are looking forward to two fun-filled golf tournaments.

The first is the 5th Annual KB Home Charity Golf Event on September 18th, 2024 at Arrowhead Golf Club. This half-day scramble tournament designed just the way golf should be – pure fun! It also happens to be a fundraiser for DCAC, complete with a lunch and awards banquet. The team at KB Home looks forward to this event every year – it is a time to get together as a company and work towards a common good, all while having fun!

The second is the DL Cohen / Huron Components Inaugural Golf Tournament. This is DL Cohen and Huron Components’ first year hosting a golf tournament fundraiser for DCAC, and we know it will be a hit! The tournament will take place on September 25th 2024 at the Ridge at Castle Pines

Become a Board Member and Bring Your Company Along to Champion Events

Our Board member, Mike Callahan, has used his Board service as a way to bring his company, Alliance Residential, together around a good cause. In April, Alliance Residential participated in our annual Swing for Hope Top Golf Fundraiser, placing first out of all of our fundraising teams and raising almost $50,000!

Next, a team from Alliance Residential ran for DCAC during the Colfax Marathon, winning 3rd place in the Construction Division and 7th in the Corporate Men’s division!

Now, Mike has volunteered to co-chair Clays for Kids, our annual fundraising event geared toward sporting enthusiasts, slated for October 4, 2024. Mike is seeking companies to come on board to sponsor the event. Sponsorships include team registrations for the 15-station clay shooting tournament and a fully-catered lunch. What better way to get your team out, having fun, and making connections with one another.

If you are interested in joining Clays for Kids as a sponsor, explore opportunities here or email Michelle Davis at mdavis@denvercac.org for more information.

No matter how, we want to partner with you to bring camaraderie, visibility, and a sense of doing a good thing to your company or team. We hope you’ll join us and help us make an impact.
