Earlier this month, two DCAC employees, Micaela & Lucero, attended the Safe Summer Kick-Off Fair at Kepner Legacy Middle School. DCAC represented Southwest Denver at the fair that was hosted by the Southwest Denver Coalition, the Department of Public Safety’s Gang Reduction Initiative of Denver (GRID) and Denver Public Safety Youth Programs.
The Safe Summer Kickoff was a free, family-friendly event where attendees could learn about community and government support services while they enjoyed food, live entertainment, prize drawings and a variety of activities. The event was also an opportunity to connect youth with alternative activities during the summer to keep them busy and safe. Click here to learn more about the event.
The event was well attended and DCAC was able to distribute materials about our services in both English and Spanish to many attendees.
