Guadalupe Gutierrez-Vasquez

Guadalupe Gutierrez-Vasquez has dedicated her career to public service, contributing to the City and County of Denver since 2007 where she currently serves as the Director of the Cash and Capital Funding Division within the Department of Finance.  In her role at the City, Guadalupe oversees cash management, investments, and the City’s debt portfolios, applying a strategic approach to public finance that benefits both residents and future generations. Guadalupe earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from the University of Colorado at Denver, which laid the foundation for her expertise in managing complex financial operations which has included contributing to Denver’s major bond initiatives, including the Better Denver, Elevate, and RISE Programs, as well as transformative capital projects at Denver International Airport. 

Guadalupe is deeply committed to helping build a better world for children, believing that their well-being shapes our future. She has firsthand experience of the positive impact of early intervention and is driven to support the mission of the Denver Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides vital treatment and services to child victims of abuse and trauma. With values of kindness, accountability and commitment at the heart of her work, she is honored to contribute her perspective as a Latina, first-generation college graduate, and daughter of immigrants.

In her free time, Guadalupe enjoys hiking Colorado’s trails with her husband and children, as well as cooking and sharing meals with family.
