Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Bilingual Child & Family Therapist at DCAC. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and her Bachelor of Spanish and Theology from Benedictine College in Kansas. In addition to her home state of Colorado, Emily has spent time living in Kansas and Honduras and studying in Italy, Spain, and Guatemala. Emily has over ten years of experience working with children, youth, and families including children and youth living in a group home and women and children experiencing homelessness. She has been with DCAC since 2019 and is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Let’s Connect parenting intervention (LC), and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Outside of work Emily stays busy keeping up with her two young daughters and enjoys cooking, hiking, and camping with her husband and kids.
