Emma joined the DCAC team of therapists in early 2020. She has been working with children and families for the past decade and is passionate about supporting those who have experienced trauma. A Colorado native, Emma first learned about Children’s Advocacy Centers as an intern at one of the CAC’s in New Orleans while earning her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Tulane University. She is excited to be a therapist at a CAC here in Denver. Emma is a licensed clinical social worker who received her Masters in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has experience working in schools, at a residential treatment center, with special needs and diverse populations, and with victims of domestic violence. Prior to coming to DCAC, Emma was a family advocate at SafeHouse Denver where she supported victims of domestic violence and their children through crisis and case management. Currently, Emma provides therapy in English and Spanish with clients at DCAC as well as in a Denver elementary school. Her pronouns are she/her/ella.
